Went to a volunteer luncheon today, they served a steam table type meal of meatloaf, baked ham, different vegetables baked macaroni and cheese, breads, etc.

OR chef salad. Either would have been fine under this plan.

I took the chef salad without the meat. It was very large so I didn't need anything else. Drank water.

THEN it was time for dessert. The dessert was a four layer chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and fresh raspberries and whipped cream on the top. I just stared at it like WHAT THE HECK ?

I said No thanks, took a carton of fatfree chocolate milk instead and called it a day.

Yeah me !

What was surprising was there was no other option for dessert, no gelatins, no fresh fruit, nothing. I wouldn't have eaten any dessert as I am being very strict with my NO S but for a lot of those that are diabetics and such, a different choice would have been welcomed.

At the table I overheard a woman trying to explain Weight Watchers to another committee member. It was, I used to get 27 points but now I get 29 points but I really get 35 sometime in the week because of bonus points, blah blah. I just munched on my yummy salad and smiled.

To your health,

If it were an S day, I'd have a slice and enjoy it, meeself. Since it wasn't an S-day, dessert wasn't an issue or option, anyway.
