I am just so darn proud of myself LOL. I decided I spend way too much time sittn' on my duff surfing the internet! This can't help my overweight situation much!

SO, I grab my dh's laptop (I may adopt it LOL) and plugged it in an outlet near my (ahem, dusty) treadmill. It was a christmas gift a couple years ago. It's really quite nice with the incline and memory and whatnot.

I have the fan aimed at me. The laptop sits up on the console quite nicely and I can walk at a good pace forever, type, use the mouse and everything. I don't even notice I'm technically exercising!! I've been surfwalkng for an hour now!

That's it, trick myself into moving my body, if I surfwalk as much as I surf sat, I should be in shape in no time lol.

|GIve it a try!

So just walked 2 miles without even noticing! Ha!

Off to cook supper...

Hope this makes up for yesterday's cake incident!

Whoah!, I don't dare to do nothing but gripping the handlebars on treadmills, because I'm always wobbly, I'm impressed at your mad coordination skills!.

What I do, though, is to play videogames while using the stationary bike; I'm an avid videogamer and a not so avid exerciser, so, this way, I curb my gaming time and extend my exercise time (I'll bike a little more until I find a save point, but not anymore, the game is very intersting but, my legs are killing me!).

Mavilu,
That's a great idea to bike while gaming. WE just got a wii and so I can see how one could get sucked into that! I've only spent a half hour playing mario cart since we got the thing...

Right now I'm surfwalkin' as well. I'm happy walkin' and sweatin' cuz I love surfin'

Geez I've never had mad skills before LOL.

Surfwalking...hmmm...sounds like a great idea, kind of like those built in tv on treadmills in the gym.

One question though, how exactly are you positioning the laptop so that it doesn't fall?! :?

My treadmill console is set up so that the handle forms a pot to hold the laptop steady and securely. Otherwise, if the handle didn't go that high, I'd have to strap it up somehow.
