Going to a Cabin, extra S day?

Hi, all,

I realize a lot of folks may not see this post, but I'm going to try anyway. My family and I are going up to a cabin tomorrow (Friday) night. I bought some pre-made cookie dough to take with us to cook and was planning to cook it Saturday, but what should I do if my husband and daughter want to cook the cookies on Friday night to have them the whole weekend trip? Would you just add an extra S day? Would you wait until Saturday to cook them? Or wait until Saturday to eat them? Would love your thoughts! :D

That's a good idea! I may try to do that and see how it goes. Have you ever done that and been successful? I super don't want a red day this early in my new NO S Journey.

You see this coming, so one way or another, it isn't going to be a red day -- so relax and figure out how to best enjoy this with minimal stress.

Ideal: ask your family how crushed they would be if you make it Saturday and see if you can hold off on the baking till then.

Also fine: take a "vacation" S-day even if your vacation only starts part way through the day

Also fine but with a warning: switching can be better in the sense that your S-day count stays the same, but there is a risk that come the newly converted N day, you find it harder to resist than a regular N-day, and cave. I have successfully swapped days, but it's riskier. What I might do, if you want to go this route, is make the swap day a "bonus" day: an N day if you can swing it, an S day if not.

Best of luck, whatever you decide!

That's kind of what I was thinking! I will try my best to make Sunday an N day, but if the mental load of it just doesn't work out, I will just mark it an S day and move on. I'm still early on in my re-commitment to No S and I don't want to screw it up this early in the journey!
