I wonder if Reinhard will be Urban Rangering to work tomorrow... Hope he's safe.

Oh it was just fine.

(Thanks for your concern though!)

Schools were closed but the library was open!

It's been a good week for "applied shovelglove," though, between this storm and the last one!

Has weather ever stopped you from walking to work?

(I lived in Lynn for a year. We got released from school one day because of snow and I had to walk home through it. It was pretty easy. But there wasn't much wind. I think wind or heavy rain is harder than snow.)

Only when work was closed and there so there wasn't any work to walk to.

For the last almost 20 years, I've lived walking distance from my various jobs.

There have been times when I drove because I had to do some kid pickup from an event after or something, but not because of the weather (even if I were tempted in bad snow, I'm too scared of losing our precious parking spot).

Sorry to drag this out, but how early do you have to get to work? Do you never have to take much stuff home and bring it back? No doctor's/dentist's appointments after work you can't walk to? Big grocery shopping on the way home you need a car for? (I'm looking for defenses for my living where the temps never reach freezing and we have fewer rainy days per year than you have from May to September, yet I don't park a 30-min walk away at least a few days a week.)

Sorry if this has all been covered on the Urban Ranger thread.
