Hard time with S days :(

So I've been doing No S for about 3-4 weeks officially. I was sorta doing a no s diet randomly a year ago and lost 30 lbs, but that was a 3 meals a day 365 plan.
I started bingeing on that plan and finally found No S. Problem is, I've basically binged one night a weekend ever since starting. I start to feel out of control without the confines of the No S rules.
Has anyone else had this issue? Struggle with S days? Any advice?!
Thank you!

Hi Ericj313, Welcome!
You're not alone in that. Often it calms down- maybe give it a little bit more time, and notice how bad you feel physically and emotionally after a binge evening and it may self correct with that feedback.
If not, you could make S days something like "I will have one (sweet or not) snack and one plate of seconds on each S day". That may feel too constrained, or it may provide enough of a break with the boundaries that it's helpful.

It took me much longer than a few weeks to finally decide to institute a mod on my wild S days, but I had to get really tired of overeating, tired enough to go through still having the urges to eat yet ignore them. My brain still came up with annoying body sensations and thoughts that insisted that the compulsion to either pick, pick, pick or flat-out gorge was a good idea. It still happens sometimes!
I've read people say it took 3-6 months for the compulsion to go away on its own, or even longer. Only you can decide if you want to wait. Just know that your odds of anything else working better are low.
MINIMIZE how wonderful the food will taste and feel when the urge comes. Minimize how hard it is to wait. MAXIMIZE how unpleasant you will feel within a few minutes of not waiting. MAXIMIZE how good you will feel to have waited and how good your next meal will be. And say your mantra: it's worth it to wait .
