A few years ago I was talking to my daughter and said how I wanted a really special plate to eat from.She bought me,for Christmas, a beautiful dinner plate!!It's square and has a beautiful design!!Every meal just feels special!Even the simplest foods look more appealing.

That's very smart. The Japanese say that "the eye also eats" and I think they're on to something. You're more satisfied when a meal is an event.

There's also a saying in German "Die Augen essen immer mit", which means the eyes always eat too.
