My husband and I both love the occasional trips with just us and kids. There's no question that I am more focused on my kids in those situations. Rather than trying to divy up responsibilities, I just embrace that it's all on me, so I might as well enjoy myself. :-) I love that you are on that trip!

You of course have it all much more together than I did, but you still need a vacation! April - funny about the timing thing!!! I ha...

My dad always prepared for ski season (he telemarks) with lunges, in particular mimicking the shifting of weight from side to side during the lunge.

Zoid, I've greatly enjoyed a bodyweight program called "GMB" - I've done their Elements, Vitamin, and Integral Strength programs. Have you heard of them? It's kind of like gymnastics, in a way. I like it because I get to move around in fun ways, rolling on the ground, doing handstands, hopping, etc....

I always have joked that oatmeal was the best appetite stimulant I could ever find. And that was BEFORE I started wearing a glucose monitor. Bingo! Mystery solved - I get the same blood sugar spike (and crash) with oatmeal that I do with any sort of so-called "junk" foods. Crazy right?
