Re: Jen’s Eating Simplified (:

Grazing is the worst for me, mental wise. It was what I successfully kicked to the curb, thanks to NoS. The first year or two (or three?) on the weekends I grazed like a maniac. After several years of that, even my weekends are typically graze-free. I am much happier this way.

Terribly, Pinkie! This experiment was a giant fail! My morning blood glucoses have never been so high! What ended up happening is that I had to wait to eat all morning, which made me ravenous. I know that my "coffee w/milk or cream or whatever" might not look like a ton in the morning, but it is def...

Re: automated eating tracker

Hi Soprano - yes, I've studied and use apple cider vinegar, although not always consistently. It does lower my blood sugar by a few points - nothing super notable though so I tend to stop remembering to take it. On the other hand, I use it generously on my salads and I love it. Wednesday, October 28...

Pinkie - I just want to encourage you about your little reader. :-) Challenger couldn't even read until the END of 2nd grade! I'm serious! I spent all of kindergarten just trying to get that little stinker to hold his pencil properly. But oh how he listened! We read the Hobbit when he was 7, and fin...

Soprano, yes the change is happening but SOOOOOOO slowly. Molasses slow. And at the same time that many are learning the truth about how common carbohydrate intolerance is, there is increasing pushback from the vegan community. So I'm not sure where we will all be in 10 years - if we end up with mea...

Re: automated eating tracker

Hi Soprano! This experiment is actually kind of growing on me. There's something about thinking to myself, "hmmm, I have plenty of energy for my body right now so I don't need to eat anything extra". Soprano, as far as the blood tests go: I asked Creator's doc, during his regular check-up, for the V...

Pinkie - I'm going to really focus this week on letting myself actually get a bit hungry between meals. The blood sugar experiment is definitely an aid with this. Hi Soprano - I think maybe all of the above! You've had a rough go lately.

Definitely eating fun stuff makes me expect more fun stuff, and want to eat for "fun", not because I'm hungry.

I got a DQ blizzard last week and I super enjoyed it. However, at some point I noticed that my body was the tiniest bit queasy - like a way of saying "enough!". I threw the rest out and was extremely pleased with myself. :-)

Octavia, I know you are right, but it just seems like flyingpig's school is a CONSTANT source of temptations. I get frustrated with co-workers that are forever piling up junk in the break room and handing it out to teachers. It's like they WANT us to overeat?!
