Sounds like some interesting ideas! I also love soup. Especially crockpot soup. All my kids hate it though. One of my favorite meals is a big bowl of soup with a piece of toast. As you can see in my check in, I eat that for lunch quite a lot! :)

Re: Pinkhippies daily check in

Thanks auto and Octavia, I think its getting to me. I feel soooooo stressed out this week! Like I am overwhelmed and drowning. I am also stressed about my internship because the people I am supposed to do my internship for have either cancelled or not shown up for 2 virtual meetings. They haven't em...

Linda I am not surprised we were raised the same way. Seems like sometimes we have similar stuff come up in our parenting. I loved everything you said! I feel the same, and that has been my goal for a while too. I CAN imagine only eating 800 calories a day because I have been there in the past. :( I...

I do not like soy yogurt at all! But I have never given up dairy. Salad with protein and lots of olive oil sounds like you are covering your protein and fat bases. I will be interested to see the results of your experiment! It's nice you are giving yourself time to prepare. I tend to just jump in im...

A 10 mile walk is so impressive! I have noticed sometimes the scale goes up for me after intense exercise. Like after my big bike rides. I agree with you that weight loss shouldn't' be the top priority on why you do the habits but I also know how hard it is to not make that the motivation in return ...

I totally resonate with your observations as well. Especially the whole idea of higher weight equals less hunger, thinking you have more willpower at the beginning of the diet. It's so true! At a lower weight, I eat MORE than I did when I was trying to lose weight because I am way hungrier. I also j...

Soprano, it is nice to be able to tell if your body genuinely needs seconds. Waiting for 20 minutes has been such a great way to do that for me. Stopping eating is hard mentally for some reason.
