I had many inadvertent plateaus along the way. Adding extras after a period of limitation can go both ways in my experience. It can feel rather seamless or the overeating urge can surge. Have you been through such phases? I have been out of the loop for so long.

I think you are so wise. I think a lot of failure out there is because people challenge their set point unnecessarily. There are some cases where it is justified, but even then, it's sure can be a tug of war.

Yes, Brian Wansink of Mindless Eating fame said the few months before the holidays can make a big difference in how we eat during them. I still remember I went off the rails when my first three green weeks were just before thanksgiving in 2008. Rookie mistake! Not fearing that now.
