Anything warm, even warm water which sounds odd, for some reason warm liquids calm the tummy growling better than cold for me anyway. I also find a big cup of patience helpful as well, as for me hunger comes in waves, usually no longer than 20 minutes.

Oolala, I mean I will follow the original (vanilla) S Day exception for special days Birthdays, Holidays, etc. to allow snacks, sweets or seconds on each of those days. Does that answer your question? Thanks for your reply.

Still mostly on plan, a few red days lately...not ready to jump ship but feeling discouraged that I am not losing. I need to work on my meal sizes and lessen calorie dense foods. How long until you saw a loss?

Hello fellow no-ser's. I am feeling very discouraged  but still truly believe NO S is the best option for me. I am not losing, but not gaining either. So it has been great for weight maintenance. I have been (mostly) on plan for about 4 months after "diet hopping" for YEARS which resulted in sl...

Random check in, after trying 2 meals a day (epic fail, way too hungry between meals) going back to the standard 3 and adding more veg and using a smaller plate only when most of the meal is very calorie dense (pizza, casseroles, etc). Holding steady on weight. I know from many posters here the "hab...

Great suggestions thank you! I am going back to 3 meals and adding in more filling veggies (broccoli and cabbage mostly, and I LOVE them) which keeps me full longer. I was way too famished with only 2 meals. I will consider smaller plates when I have more calorie dense meals, I like that idea. And i...

2 meals a day?

Has anyone had success with two meals a day? I am finding I just over load my plate for 3 meals a day, but am also concerned if two meals a day (thinking about having brunch and supper) may backfire and I will be too hungry between meals and/or eat TOO much during the 2 meals? Penny for your thoughts.

I realized this too! I realized that having a strict schedule was really throwing my No S journey off because sometimes I'd be starving when I woke up sometimes not, other times I'd be full for 7 hours and force a meal when I was not hungry. Now I've thrown out having a strict adherence and just ke...

Tomato Juice or 100% Carrot Juice - don't knock it till you try it! Bolthouse has one in the produce section of most stores.

Meal Timing Epiphany

I started No S having some basic windows of mealtimes (8ish, noonish, and 6ish) and found I am increasingly over-filling my plate to be certain I am eating enough to get me through to the next meal without extreme hunger, so in essence I think I was preventatively over eating at each meal. And I am ...

Someone said "three meals a day and life in between."
