Benni's Daily Check In
OK. Just seeing if a simple daily check in will help with accountability. I currently have had 2 good days. This is actually the second time of starting. I tried a couple of weeks ago, but didn't quite make it. I have however read the web page this time and feel a bit better informed.
So here goes.

Well the weekend was interesting, watching myself behave in certain ways.
I had some planned Treats, morning tea out with my husband, a homemade dessert etc, but I also ate sweets and junk, just because I could. I wasn't hungry but this was my only chance until next week etc.
One wonders where that sense of deprivation comes from. I have hardly been deprived of food in my life.
Anyway, back to the week now, almost with a sense of relief. Which makes me think there is a long way to go yet. I prefer my eating with rules around it, and of course the whole point of this way of looking at food is to have to dispense with the food rules.
Mind you another point is that before we all got fat there WHERE food rules! I am old enough to remember when eating in the street, or whilst moving around was thought incredibly bad manners. You would wait until you could find a place to sit down. A park bench would do, but only in a pinch, and when on holiday at the seaside!

This week has been fine so far apart from the 'great cookie incident!' But that was just the one occasional and did not lead to an evening of snacking so that was a success in itself.
Once or twice I have been very hungry indeed, once to the point of getting a nauseous headache, but I am learning to adjust my meals to compensate. Ordinary hunger is one thing, but this is intense. The snag is eating enough. As a snacker I am used to tiny meals!
On the whole though I am enjoying arriving at my meals hungry. I relish them more now.
