Chanda's Check-in
I'm making a new check-in thread, because this time around, I'm really going to do this.
Vanilla No S, no tweaks. Today is my first N day. I can do this. Heck, the French eat this way every day. No snacking between meals, I mean. If they can do it, I can do it.

Re: Chanda's Check-in
Today was going to be a successful N day, in fact, it really was... But I decided to have 2 squares of dark chocolate. Which I think is a huge win for me, because I tend to eat all the sweets in sight. But it's still technically a sweet, and today is an N day, not an S day. So I have to mark it as a failure. But it was still a really good eating day.

Huge win. I count this a huge win and not the technical fail!

I agree a win, I don't think of 1 or 2 squares quality dark chocolate as a sweet.

Re: Chanda's Check-in
Okay, I will count them as successful N days! Thanks, guys!
Today was another great eating day! I had a light breakfast of toast and coffee, a slightly heavier lunch of a crispy chicken sandwich from BK (just the sandwich, no sides or soda), and a light dinner of a salad and a plain yogurt, followed by a couple of squares of dark chocolate and a glass of wine.

Re: Chanda's Check-in
Yesterday was a great eating day... At least until I got home from work. I had such a stressful day and I am a stress eater. So yesterday was a failure.

Re: Chanda's Check-in
May I kindly suggest that there is a difference between saying 'I am a .....' and 'I have the habit of ....'. The difference may be subtle, but identity is much harder to change than habits. When I was younger, I used to label myself as
a compulsive eater. Now I just tell myself that sometimes I eat too much. It has made me feel a lot
better about myself and my eating is much more ordered.
I wish you all the best with the stress eating.

Three meals a day - not too little not too much, but just right

Re: Chanda's Check-in
Thanks, I'll try that and see if it changes my frame of mind.
Today was an S day, I was out with my family and having fun. We had Thai food, and mango sticky rice for dessert. I made sure not to eat too much, so I am comfortably satisfied.

Re: Chanda's Check-in
Another S day! I'm just trying to eat in moderation and make (mostly) healthy choices. My splurge for today is a peppermint mocha from Starbucks, and finishing off the mango sticky rice from the Thai place we went to yesterday.
I've noticed that I am not really losing weight on the scale, but my pants are definitely looser. That's a plus! I've also decided that on February 1st, I'll weigh for the last time, and then I won't weigh again until March 1st. Just going to focus on No S and trying to eat nutritious, wholesome foods.

Another S day!
I found an app called Habit Calendar that lets you keep track of your daily habit, whatever that habit might be. You can mark the days just like you would with the Habitcal. Makes it easy to keep track of things!

Today is going pretty well so far! Had breakfast, had lunch, no snacks, drank water, having a cup of coffee right now... We'll see how the day goes.

Re: Chanda's Check-in
My mother in law died a couple of weeks ago, and we have been busy with taking care of her funeral services and other things. So I have not been following No S while helping my husband to take care of things. But now things are starting to go back to normal, so I'm trying to get back on the No S wagon. I have definitely been stress eating and making poor decisions in regards to food.

Ah Chanda hugs to you as you go through this time of grieving and supporting your husband, as well. Funeral preparations absolutely count as "S" days.
