As I was reading this article, I just kept thinking about how so much of it applies to NoS!

By the way, if you are intrigued by productivity systems, as I have been, Reinhard has a few podcasts on his (I think 43 and 44?)

Good article, Auto. Reinhart did all the preliminary planning. We just settle back and allow it to work. I know every time I try to "fix" the plan I get into trouble. My thinking goes something like, "I'm 57 years old. I should be able to know myself well enough to figure out something else." But it eventually comes back to bite me.
Automated---I have my own Productvity System for housework! I am applying the habit concept to other areas of my life besides my eating and exercising! ;D Ive been doing this scince October/Nov 2013 I started smaller and gradually worked up or whatever to get where I am now
I spend an hour or so each morning Monday through Friday and set my timer for a certain amount of minutes in each room, this has changed my house from cluttered to neat and much cleaner than it used to be!
I spend 5 minutes in laundry room, living room, dining room, bathroom, upstairs and stairway(master bedroom), and 15 minutes in kitchen each morning. I also start the laundry. this simple routine monday through friday has transfomed my house. My goal is to have it all done by 10 AM each day, I make a Stickk.com contract and put money on the line so I stick to it! Saturday and Sunday I have a simpler routine, but it still keeps me on top! (laundry, 5 min each in my bedroom, bathroom, and 15 min kitchen)
just like the habit concept its amazing what something done day in and day out every single solitary day, adds up and it has become easier to clean up the rooms! The clutter is gradually disappearing! I run the sweeper through the main areas usually mon-fri
With 5 kids underfoot, and homeschooling it does take about an hour a day to keep my house clean and it helps my mood for the rest of the day to have a cleaned up house!
