Welcome!
Since you are new to NoS, I highly recommend you read the NoS Catchphrase glossary at the top of this forum. It is chockful of NoS wisdom, mantras, mottoes, and more to help keep one on track with NoS when diethead/life/stress interfere.
Once again, welcome!

Just a note: Everything you need to know to follow this is on the No-S Diet page. The book expands on that.
"That which we persist in doing becomes easier for us to do. Not that the nature of the thing itself has changed but our power to do it is increased." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
"You are what you eat -- so don't be Fast, Easy, Cheap or Fake."

It's not that it's not sacrifice but it's the most productive necessary suffering you'll ever endure. A poor man's diet if there ever was one. I mean, oatmeal as a default for lunch, for golly's sake. Cheap and simple.

What you do to lose the weight is what you do to maintain the weight loss.Christine wrote:Hi sugarjunkie, welcome, sounds like you're doing well so far! Someone said in another thread recently, it's the only diet where the diet is also the maintenance. (well, something like that) It's brilliant!

Re: Hi,newbie here
You may need to remind yourself of that last bit, as you go along: NoS has many virtues, but speed is not (usually) one of them!sugarjunkie wrote:(im hoping to lose about a stone, but am not in a great hurry)
On the other hand, what other approaches are usually fast at doing is bouncing your weight up and down like a yo-yo, so maybe speed isn't such a virtue after all.
Welcome aboard!
