And, people do not get the same calories out of food like scientists say. Anyone who's ever seen whole corn or peas in a diaper or toilet can see that the center was not totally "used".

If you keep calories low enough you'll lose weight.
I've never seen a "chubby" concentration camp survivor.
However, there is no macronutrient ratio that applies to everybody.
For example, this gentleman lived to 98 on a low carb and booze diet:
