Is a Calorie a Calorie?

If you keep calories low enough you'll lose weight.
I've never seen a "chubby" concentration camp survivor.
However, there is no macronutrient ratio that applies to everybody.
For example, this gentleman lived to 98 on a low carb and booze diet:

and this gentleman, at 75, eats a high carb diet and looks better than 99% of all people:

Bottom line: Use what works for you.
