How much do you drink?
There's no problem I have to discuss here, just a matter of curiosity; I seem to drink a lot more than most other people I see. How much fluid do you take in during a normal day? For me, it's about six mugs of tea, one of coffee, two to five glasses of water (sometimes substituting one of those for fruit juice) and usually an alcoholic beverage of some sort (or two) in the evening. This amounts to about eight or nine pints of liquid per day, by my reckoning. Any advance?

I think I drink too little! Normally I have 2-3 cups of coffee and 2-3 12 ounce glasses of water. I sometimes have a glass of wine with dinner, but only about once a week.

For a long time I drank very little water. I purchased a 24 oz. metal water bottle that I keep at work and through the work day I fill it up 2-3 times. I also have 1-2 cups of tea occasionally. At home I drink some seltzer and juice. I feel much better now that I am hydrating mostly with water. Sometimes I have to add a splash of juice.

Two large cups of cafe au lait each morning, on my drive in. I guess 16 oz. each.
About two "pots" of herbal tea during the day, maybe three. (Made in a teensy coffeemaker... I'd say about 24 oz per pot. So 48-72 oz.)
A glass of water at dinner (8 oz).
Maybe a glass of wine after (4 oz).
A good bit, I guess. But I always have drunk about that much.

On N Days, I normally have a smallish mug of coffee with breakfast and about 48 ozs of water between lunch, during the day and dinner. Sometimes I'll drink a mug of hot tea in the afternoon or a mug of herbal tea in the evening. I've been working on kicking my diet soda habit on N Days and having great success with that.
On S days, I sometimes drink diet soda when we eat out and frequently treat myself to a small fancy hot chocolate or coffee. More rarely, I'll have a small glass of wine, some hard cider or a small serving of Grand Marnier. My water intake tends to be worse on S Days -- and it isn't all that great to begin with -- although I'm trying to be better about it in general. I suspect "water intake" will be a monthly resolution one of these days.

I drink quite a lot as well. On a typical day :
4 x-large cups of coffee (Mostly decaf)
1 x-large cup of hot cocoa
1 x-large cup of tea (Usually Green Tea)
4-5 x-large cups of plain water
*** Note my usual cup is X-Large, people always make fun of me when they see me drinking from it, cos' it's quite big... lol ! (I use it as a soup bowl sometimes, it's like a small bowl with a handle on the side) It contains about 14 oz. (425ml. ?) . It was hand made in Portugal, looks pretty posh too ... People see my x-large mug and they start laughin', heh !
Total for the day ? About 140 oz but I think coffee really dehydrates you so you shouldn't count it all, something like that.
Between 3L. and 4L. per day total ?
I am used to drinking a lot of liquid though and I train regularly so I need more water than a ... sedentary person. Most of the places I checked they were talkin' about 3L. of water for someone my age/size/weight/activity level so I have a bit more ...
Cheers !
