how diets pay off

If you had invested $1,000 in Medifast five years ago, you would now be worth $8,730. (Am I right? A rise of 873% on 1000 is 8,730?) You would likely be no lighter, and neither would 95-97% of the people who made you richer (not a bad return for $1,000) if the overall research on dieting is right. In fact, you would be "richer" in weight.

Nearly 275% of the increase in value was in 2016. (WHY was that?) They've lost money in the last year; I guess we missed out on most of the increase in value.

The house pretty much always wins.

Now you know one of the ways I spend my time now that I don't eat as often.
