Just wondering
Im wondering if anyone started off by just starting with there eatting habits then went on and added the exercise in.
I did--but I tried the Shovelglove movements to see what they were like pretty quickly. You can start just with a pole of some kind--no need to buy a sledge hammer right away. I use a real garden shovel--weighs about 4 lbs. Even then I have to take it easy.
Walking is a better way to get started, I think.
But the main thing is forming good habits with eating. If you just want to start there, that's great.

I've always walked a lot, so I guess I added No-S to that. I've never added shovelglove; I can't do it for health reasons.

Sorry for the double post; I don't know how that happened!
I like "lifestyle" exercise from carrying groceries to scrubbing floors to doing outdoor work. It all counts.

Like, wosnes, I added No S to an established habit of exercise rather than exercise to No S. If exercise is new to you, I would concentrate first on No S then on exercise. However, assuming you are in the Northern hemisphere, this is an easy time of year to add in some walking without thinking about exercise.

Re: Just wondering
I did, too. I was getting some exercise before, but have systematically increased it over time. 14 minutes of anything a day can be a good plan, or more or less depending on what works for you. Over time as you lose weight it gets easier. I enjoy exercise more now, although generally my preference would still be to read a book or watch Glee!lilguysmama wrote:Im wondering if anyone started off by just starting with there eatting habits then went on and added the exercise in.
Be kind, for everybody you meet is fighting a hard battle.
