hi all, i have been awol and not doing very well this year. i don't even really want to go into the details, or start racking up the excuses why.
i've loosely kept track of stuff with habit cal at least, but it's showing mainly failures and sick days for a long time now.
next week i will be reasserting my willpower and trying my very hardest to get back to some sort of strictness. sadly, eating seconds has started to creep back into my life, as well as occasional night time eating. and also, i've been ridiculously sedentary.
anyway, five days a week of 15 mins of exercise, and vanilla NoS is my goal.
i'll post updates weekly in my check in thread, and not allow myself to go completely awol, no matter how depressed i feel... which i'm sad to say, has unfortunately been a lot.
have a good weekend everyone.
peace and love,
debs

thanks anne, i appreciate that.. one of the things that's happening now, and has been affecting me terribly, is one of my closest and dearest friends has recently been diagnosed with bladder cancer.. it's been such a stress and worry. but today i really just decided, that it's not going to help *him* for me to let my health go, so i will just have to find ways of dealing with these feelings of stress and sadness, that don't involve, bad eating habits.
yes, i feel that being part of the community, actively, does really help keep me focused and helps. so i'm very glad to be back and trying again.
hope all is well with you and your family
hugs

It is so very true that your eating won't help him or anyone. Easy to say, I know, but I do know last year I went through some very stressful times with mostly green weeks and life was better. I've been letting smaller things get to me and it is a pain. Yet not quite enough, I guess, as thoughts of eating stuff I know I'd be sorry I ate are occurring to me right now. But I'm not having anything but coffee for at least an hour.

Hiya Deb, sorry to hear you've been having a rough time of it lately Sometimes it's hard to concentrate on eating right and keeping healthy when there's so much going on! I know I don't feel much better after I've eaten a load of sugary fatty calorie laden foods though - physically anyway, I often feel a lot worse!! If it wasn't so damn tasty life would be a lot easier

Dear Deb,
Best of luck in your new effort and congratulations on a promising start!
I am so grateful for your helpful and supportive presence on this site over the years and I'm hopeful and confident that this round will be successful for you.
My 7 year old daughter has just started using the habitcal for practicing piano, so we're coming at it with renewed interest, too.
Best to you and Richie,
Reinhard
