KL, I know where you are coming from, getting through to the next meal, mainly emotionally, because I know that I can easily not eat for say seven to eight hours - but knowing does not help somehow. Maybe I should buy a stronger detergent to wash my brains with. No BS, I probably should have written...

I feel kind of relieved that my S-day orgy is over now. It went like: very tame-tame-complete-idiot-ordinary S-day. I don't like it that I feel sort of legally obligated to have S's on S-days. But I had a great Easter Sunday at a friend's house where everybody brings something nice & home cooked lik...

Hi there, KL . As No BS suspected it's only funny because I am not a native English speaker  But seriously I love English because the language seems to be carrying an intrinsic sense of humour (as does Danish for that reason). When I am speaking German I am always dead serious. I also think tha...

Well, No BS, you haven't heard me SPEAKING English. Since I am stark raving mad I have decided to take four S-days in a row. I have thought about it and I think it is the right thing to do. perhaps being forced to choose an activity that has a more "reasonable" calorie burn will also nudge us in the direction of more "reasonable" eating habits, right along with No-S, of course. So at the end of the day it ends up being a good thing. That's exactly what I thought, I would love it if my...

Hi Amy, It will definitely get easier and more automatic at least that's what I have experience and since we seem to be twins... You mean Belgium like in truffles, wafers, beer etc.? I think I did not only gain the weight because I ate too much due to the disappointment of not being able to ru...

Thank you, BS! And you, too, Amy, To cut a long story short: I've have tried most cures but there does not seem much I can do about my foot. I have decided that it won't be chronic, every time the pain gets less I try to run gently but every time it gets worse the next day... I have tried cycling bu...

We have a family to cook for and we love cooking and we eat meat so I do not know if this actually helps, but nevertheless maybe some ideas: On Thursdays or Fridays we collect ideas for next week's meals for the evenings we are at home (so that the shopping can be done on Friday or Saturday) and try...

Amy, this is really weird: I'd been running seriously since 2006, had done 2 half marathons and quite a lot of 10k races and I loved it so much. It was my way to relax, get fresh air, deal with stress and more or less stay in shape (okay I was neither really slim nor fast but I was okay) and at the ...

Thank you Amy and No BS for your encouraging words, this means a lot to me :) There's triumph in so many little situations, when I was playing games with the spotted chickenpoxies yesterday I felt ridiculously proud when I thought that I did not feel the need to check the goodies cupboard (cabinet?)...

I shouldn't have worried about last night's dinner, the babysitter cancelled at very short notice so I could not go. I was a bit sad&mad but at least I didn't fall back on comfort food. Yesterday: Success Breakfast: 3 slices of homemade bread, some grapes and plums and tomatoes Lunch: Mountai...

I have just finished my 14 minutes absolute minimum of compliance exercise routine. I have the feeling that the 14 minutes aren't getting me very far but then again not exercising has not got me very far, either. Chicken pox rules this house so I won't be able to go running before the weekend anyway...

Stepped on the scales after the first 21 days. Surprise, surprise, my weight is still the same. Patience will be my middle name. I think my plan for the rest of the month and February is to fine tune my plates and to be more consistent when it comes to exercising. S-days were a bit ugly, at least Su...

Again: Thank you Amy. :D I didn't have that feeling of mastery over eating behaviour when I tried to do No S the last (first) time. I had set up a separate habitcal for each of the Nos and it simply did not work out. I never seemed to be able to succeed in all the three of them at one time. This tim...
