I don't have illusions of getting toward the lower end of my BMI, but I sure would like to eventually get into the middle range of it. Nevertheless, I yearn to exist in the peaceful place in which weight loss is not my primary goal, but rather moderate eating and a healthy activity level. wow, I ne...

Tea, tea, and tea.

In the evenings when I really want something sweet I use unsweetened Yogi Choco Tea (made with cocoa but no sugar or sweetener) with a little bit of milk.

During the day: green tea

For me the biggest temptation of the three S is sweets so Tea helps a lot.

Hi Ruamgirl,

So this is in no way scientific but:

My knees hurt much less

I don't feel dizzy anymore after eating a (near-endless) meal - so my energy level has stabalized a lot more and I don't feel that my bloodsugar is going wild anymore - in hindsight I'm wondering if I was pre-diabetic?

Sleep as a cure for obesity?

Hi all, I saw this article on BBC today: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-24162508 I'm not sure I agree with it but I thought I would post it here as I found it interesting. The reason I'm hesitant is that as far as I'm concerned my very skinny friends sleep much worse than me :D but then that's a h...

Thank you so much JW and Oolala!

It's nice to have a structure to lean on that I know keeps me healthy and makes my body feel really good. To follow NoS is a kind of self-love (even if that sounds tacky).

And also thank you too for all your NoS inspiration!

Ok, so I would like to share something here. I got dumped big time two weeks ago. It sucks. And the reason I'm sharing this: Usually I would go into non-eating mode for a couple of weeks followed by emotional overeating for another and there is something very good to say about NoS: It keeps me healt...

I agree, it's a gray area. The reason I don't drink things like that on N days is that I'd rather "fence around the law" as I want to build a habit of not needing any sweet things on N days. If it tastes sweet it doesn't matter how many calories it has - your body will not learn not to crave sweet t...

I'm back :D I've slacked a little. Thankfully, I maintained but I've become a lot less strict with NoS and I know that this is a slippery slope. I think not being on the boards is part of it. I always call my vacations an S week and go with "intuitive eating" during that time. Now, while "intuitive eating" doesn't work for ...

There was also a series by the BBC called "The Men Who Made Us Fat", looking at food marketing,...

Unfortunately, all links I can find are from illegal streaming services so I can't post them here but if you can somehow get hold of it - it is just as good as the new series.
