Speaking of "shakes" (and I use the term loosely), anyone remember the Cambridge Diet? Not only was the stuff putrid, but it was sold through a pyramid-type scheme. I didn't make it through a single shake, it tasted so awful. Biggest waste of $20 in my life. It was eventually taken off the market, n...

I had the same problem this week. I coudn't resist the cookies in the office and when I ate one on Wednesday, it was easier to eat one on Thursday. The good thing is before No S, I would've had more than one. I've been doing No S since February and this is the first slip up on N days. In the beginni...

I saw it at a Barnes & Noble, flipped through it but was skeptical. Then I checked out the website a few weeks later and became intrigued enough to buy the book. This was back in February and I'm more convinced than ever that this is the way to go. I can't imagine EVER going back to counting points ...

The End of Overeating

http://www.salon.com/env/feature/2009/06/18/overeating/ Interesting interview with the author of The End of Overeating (this book may have already been discussed on this board). I thought of No S when he says one of the ways people succeed in keeping weight off is by setting unambiguous rules to liv...

Interesting topic. I think this was my problem on S Days, when initially they really did go wild. I'd start eating as soon as I got up and would permasnack or worse binge, all day, because after all it was allowed, right? My S days are much better now and I think it's because I wait to eat that firs...

I've been on No S for almost three months and I love it. I'm finally getting the hang of S days. I've never had a problem with Non-S days; I love the structure and simplicity (unlike WW, when I'd agonize over having a 2-point or 3-point snack). It's taken longer for me to get S days under control. M...

I've been doing No S for five weeks and have lost 2 pounds. I'm thrilled, although I didn't lose anything until week 3. But I had already decided this was the way to go. What was the alternative, going back to snacking all day long and eating cookies/candy every day? That hasn't worked so well for t...

It does get easier. Just finished Week 2 and already the hunger pains (especially between lunch and dinner) have decreased. This is a great plan and I just told a friend about it, another WW refugee!

Hi, Cornfed - Welcome! I'm new too (started 2/23/09) and so far I'm loving it. I'm most worried about the weekends and last weekend I did eat a lot but I'm trying not to worry about it. The book is great and so is this site. I just wish I had known about No S earlier - at least before I dropped more...

Thanks, KCCC, for posting this. I just finished week 1 of No S so this is my first S weekend. Yesterday I didn't go too crazy but today I've already eaten quite a bit of sugary stuff (chocolate bars) and salty, fatty things (cashews) and it's only 10:30 am (EST). I actually have a headache from all ...

recovering calorie accountant

I recently discovered No S and I can't believe it's not more well-known. I've joined and rejoined WW more times than I'd care to admit, and the most recent time was the worst: I joined the online version and lasted one week! I just can't go back to all that stupid counting. It's funny - the first ti...
