Re: the witching hours...and it's not even dark!

It's pitiful that I have nothing else compelling in my life to replace food. ... It's NEVER too late to add those things! There must be some things you're interested in - start reading books and looking them up on the internet....soon you'll have MORE than enough things to occupy youself with when ...

I have dealt with both of those issues, and I found success with both through yoga and ibuprofen. The yoga helped to strengthen my back AND stretch it out, which helped me feel better, PLUS it taught me how to be very conscious of how I am using my back in everyday life so that I don't injure it aga...

Hee! Yes I should have mentioned Shovelglove! I've been doing that for about a week and I ADORE it! It's a lot of fun, it's a great full body workout, and it cost me a grand total of $15.00 for the sledgehammer.

I haven't used it, but I know someone who did for a while and liked it pretty well. I think money issues keep her from going now. From what I know of it, it's circuit training involving a lot of weight machines, correct? IF they allow you to set your own weight (and they should - I would find out fo...

Oh Kathleen - this is hyseterica l!! I just about died laughing. It's perfect, too, because that's exactly what would start going on in my head if I allowed myself to make changes on the fly. Snickers starts with S!!...... Katie (9 year old): It's a Super Hot day, so it's a Special Day. Ellie (7): H...

You'd have to cut it in half and put it side by side - would take up pretty much all the plate

I think it all depends on what it will do to your motivation. Kathleen developed the mod because she knows that a "failure" day would quite likely send her off plan. (I believe that's how I read it) So she gives herself a "save" that allows her get on with the plan. For me, on the other hand - if I ...

Pumpkin muffins made with WW flour? YUM! They sound pretty healthy to me, as well as satisfying.

Now I want the recipe! Will you share?

For me, the dividing line would be the ingredients of the muffin. Is it a double chocolate luxury muffin filled with creme and studded with chocolate chips? Or is it a hearty bran muffin with shredded carrot? Also - what are you eating it with? (this is how *I* would decide). A blueberry muffin with...

The sledge was still there after work, so I took it...but it turned out to be a 12lb sledge which I don't think I'm ready for. So I stopped at the store and bought an 8lb one with with a hickory handle instead. It's very spiffy, and this morning I had a blast :D I'm really stiff from it, though, so ...

I think it's a sign...

Two things happened yesterday: 1) I discovered the Shovelgloving website, and was immediately smitten. I had just made the decision to get back into working out, and now that I have to get up much earlier than I used to, in order to get my kids on the school bus, I will have some spare time in the m...
