it is the adaptation for swimming. I'm sure you know fat floats! But in regards to the distance swimmer, that's unusually high. Most swimmers have anywhere inbetween 7%-15%. I sit at 14 myself but I want it around 9. Do you know any other ways to ensure intake of necessary nutrients and vitamins wit...

Hi oolala, I was just curious if this seemed appropriate for cutting. I AM trying to lose weight, which appropriate since the first phase of P90X is weight loss(allegedly). When I say I am a glutton, I tend to eat to 3.5-4 (on a scale of 1-5; 1-being not full,2-half full, 3 full, 4-pretty full, 5-bl...

I hope you all forgive me. I've been researching extensively and have found that while so many of these BB's suggest eating 5-6 times a day, it's not necessary; cals in vs cals out is the main thing. I've learned things that have invalidated my post. Thanks for the link to the leangains website, he ...

I don't believe that No S works well with strength training
I just wanted to put this out there for any forum members that strength train or are looking to. I haven't read the book in a while and it might be a good idea for me to read it before I write this but what the heck. I've been learning about building muscle mass on different websites, especially bod...

I know this may be a bit harsh but weight is complete phooey. The best measurement of health is: 1)fitness and 2) bodyfat percentage (sure, you could add physical age vs chronological age and internal health such as risk for atherosclerosis but I think that's too much). I never put much stock into w...

How is this diet for P90X and swimming?
Hey y'all, I just wanted to run by you what I eat usually and ask how it is relative to what I'm trying to do, which is improving upon my swimmer's body. I used to swim regularly(1mi ~30mins). Haven't gotten back into the pool in a while but I'm currently doing P90X right now. I'm a total beginner w...

I'm not really going for Michael Phelps-never thought about it to be honest. I think even Ian thorpe would be my deal physique(eventually, maybe in 2 years). He's not super cut, and I know many swimmers are not due to the fact that swimmers have longer muscles. But I'm fantastically lazy when it com...

No S diet doesn't work for me(2nd time)
So I started No S last summer and I lost 10 lbs. because I was trying the mini snacks between meals to boost metabolism. But being a big guy(6'1" 180lb) I gained 10 lbs because I ate more than I should have(It was probably the yogurt and granola bars I ate-too much sugar). Anywho, I stumbled upon th...

ok,well the deal is I don't think I've eaten in excess for a while at all. My plates are like 10" in diameter or maybe 1'(my foot is 12" so thats what i'm visualizing right now). I've already set in the habit of only one plate or bowl(because I find it easier to eat rice in a bowl) a meal. No biggie...

How do I cut portions?
I'm already thinking of gradually and progressively decreasing food on my meal-plate every day but is there a sure-fire approach to this?

Cereals?
Hello, I've been on the No S for bout 2 weeks now and I've been wondering: are Honey Nut Cheerios ok to eat? there are aout 9g of sugar per 3/4 cup and I eat 1- 1.5 cups for breakfast~18g sugar. I love that cereal because its not too sweet for me. I used to like lucky charms and all that but that wa...

http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn303/txmpepper/Clipboard01-1.jpg That link will show you a screenshot of my excel file that contains my 3-week rotation. I just realized that I still have to change a few things, primarily the first 2 weeks since it repeats a lot. I added new exercises to the 3rd ...

How will I do?
I read about 2 weeks ago that snacking was positive, now after reading this book I learned that I was taking in more calories than I needed! No wonder I moved up 4lbs. I ate Yogurt and those nature valley granola bars twice a day. I just wanted to ask how I'll do out of curiosity. I'm 6'1" and weigh ...
