No S: SUCCESS! Shovelglove: SUCCESS! Walk: SUCCESS! Thanks, OG! I hope to! Could've had a failure on shovelglove last night if not for checking in here and keeping a habitcal. It was sort of late in the day and I was tired, but I am sooo glad I did it! It just feels great to know that I am able to d...

And if you've studied Culinary Arts or worked in a commercial kitchen, you can't forget some of the stuff that goes on normally in some kitchens. Especially unforgettable was the lesson in which we learned that most of those "creams" you find in commercial sweets, cannolis, eclairs, on top of cakes...

What about "feedback"? (See my signature...) But, really, I know that "feedback" isn't exactly the word you are looking for, either. But how about this: Why the need to label it at all? If putting a label on it causes the old binge behavior to rear it's ugly head, maybe it's best not to apply labels...

It will happen. I'm still learning. I figure I'm working on the vanilla no-s habits and when those are completely...

Can we at least fill a hot tub or kiddy pool? Just kidding, but you are not alone with your ire. In my opinion it is still about women being seen as sex objects. Overweight women are considered second class and thin women are exploited. Don't get me going on Victoria's Secret ads on tv. Oh...

SUCCESS!
This morning I am feeling fat. I will walk in a while and I hope that helps. I may have to start paying closer attention to my food. Even though the days are successful as far as snacks, sweets and seconds go, they still could be too caloric for my body size and my age. Drats!

When I'm in a public place and I see a woman who is overweight or fat eating something really fattening.....I don't think...."oh, dear...they shouldn't be doing that"....What I intensely know from my own personal experience is the HIGH PRICE they have chosen to pay for that food, and how valuable a...

Re: Resting On A Journey
Now that I have been NOT dieting for 7 weeks, I'm changing my daily check-in name from 'Me On A Diet' to 'Resting On A Journey'. Just feels right! I like the new check-in name! I agree. We are not on a diet here. It's a whole new outlook, isn't it? PS I just changed my name too. What an impact this...

Almost didn't eat breakfast because I'm so stressed about something I'm not going to let No S go all to hell, just because some other things are. Keeping that steady and stable is a good thing right now, a balance for the chaos. I'm sorry to hear that you are having some troubles, but want to congr...

Monday
SUCCESS! I did not take yesterday as a special day. Once, for just a few seconds, I sort of wished I had so that I could have something sweet, but I would have had to declare it a failure if I had because it was not in the plan and would have just been an excuse, so I told myself I could wait until...

New Name
Well, I finally did it. I have wanted to change my name from "Just Jill" for a few weeks now, but never actually got around to it until now. I realized after a while that " Just Jill" was not very flattering. It's like saying, "It's only me. No big deal. Who cares?" It took some thinking to come up ...

Re: Permission to have an S day midweek??
I am travelling to Singapore for a week with my family for a holiday. What do I do? a) Treat it as an s-day (although not Saturday, Sunday or a special holiday or celebration) and have one less s-day on the following weekend. I could easily get derailed by this Singapore thing because I am a rules ...

Observation
So now that I have a few s-days behind me I have begun to notice a pattern. Right from the start I didn't have a problem with seconds, so nothing new there. As for snacks, when I first started (and I'm talking about n-days and s-days here) I didn't think I had a problem with snacking, but after a co...

Wow, Blue, I can relate! A couple years ago I was "a skinny petite chick" and I used to wonder if other women hated me like I used to hate the skinny ones when I wasn't. But, you know what? I used to hate the fat women too because I knew they were eating stuff that I wouldn't dream of allowing mysel...

Marilyn, It is good to see you back. You can do this. I have recently decided that I am what I tell myself I am. If I believe that I am a food addict and I cannot say no after eating a bite of something, that is exactly what I am and what I will do (not stop eating, I mean.) On the other hand, if I ...

Saturday
S-Day I wish I had eaten less popcorn last night, but otherwise it was a great day. Maybe popcorn will be one of those things that I'll need a "glass ceiling" for. I certainly could have used it last night and I doubt it would have made it feel like an n-day, if you know what I mean. Hubby and I we...

OR, when you get your main course, mentally or physically spit it in half on your plate and only eat half, Sorry, but boy did this make me laugh!! I am such a proof-reader, so I have to tell you -- when I envision spitting on my food, well, I don't know if I'd even want to eat half after that! LOL ...

This is working for me and as the saying goes: if it ain't broke, don't fix it! :) I couldn't agree more!! I am weighing myself only once a month too. I am not expecting much of a loss, but I am fine with it (most of the time) because I know the yo-yoing is my other option and that is failure in th...
