It seems that "normal" eating is becoming a minority position, as many I talk to report their eating is all over the board, depending on their schedule, kids' schedules, social events, bad weather, many other variables that seem to be making "3 squares" an anachronism. Still, the value of being on a...

That meal schedule really sounds great to me. I like to exercise as soon as I get up in the early a.m., so am not hungry afterwards. A 9:30-10 a.m. breakfast would be perfect. I'm just used to thinking of food at this time as a "mid-morning snack", thus not good!! My main barrier to adopting such a ...

Going good here, no weight loss yet -- but a definite shift in habit. I've stopped the Success/Failure check-in, realizing I'm not the kind who benefits from this. It just made me overly exhilerated by success, and overly depressed about failure, and too much focused on both. The simplicity of No-s,...

Very wise words, Freakwich. What brought me to NOS was a strong desire to rid myself of the "dieting mentality", and all its time-wasting little dramas and struggles. So today, I'll note that NOS went great, no funny stuff -- even managed to have no snacks during tonight's Vikings/Packers game on Mo...

It's funny how different times of the day/night are harder for certain individuals -- I can't imagine EVER wanting to eat ANYTHING at 2:15 a.m.; really, you'd have to force-feed me. But, oh boy, catch me between 3-6 p.m., and it's a whole different story. That's when I'm opening the fridge, and prow...

Another day with the same 2/3 success pattern. Maybe it is the change of season, as Karl mentioned. Makes me feel like curling up on the couch and eat, while I watch Oprah and watch the snow skidding across the frozen lake.

Tomorrow's another day. And the day after that -- is an S-Day!

Have had 3 days of mixed success :? I've gotten through 2 meals OK, but give in to sweets/snacking in the late afternoon. Nothing to do with hunger, just bad habits rearing their ugly heads.

Still, it's two-thirds better than I was doing previously!
