Good for you Clickster... training for another triathlon it looks like? :) No kidding about the pools... though I suppose from where you are, it's awlays an option to drive a couple hours to the beach and do some ocean swimming! Aside from the sharks and jellyfish, that's fun stuff. Wish I could do ...

Yeah, most co-ed leagues have rules like that... sometimes they make things fairer... sometimes they seem patronizing. I played in an intramural co-ed basketball league in college, and they handled it by saying shots from a woman count double (e.g., 4 for a 2-pointer and 6 for a 3-pointer), and guys...

You know, shovelling show is great exercise. Also I envy you northerners in one regard... I used to live in New Hampshire and later Vermont, and come January/February it was never difficult to find a nice frozen pond or lake to ice skate on. Never did work it out such that I could ice skate to work ...

Bonnie, I'm glad you're back and are doing well. Heart disease is scary stuff! Though you certainly prove that it's never too late to start living a healthier life. You are an inspiration to us all. :) I'm no doctor, but I did find a dramatic improvement in my cholesterol levels after No-S-ing and l...

I don't know, maybe other people can chime in--is it ever the case that exercising DOESN'T operate (at least at the end of it) to make you feel better (I mean excluding sickness and injury). For the most part I think you are right, with two caveats. 1. Some things are just difficult/unpleasant for ...

Hey Click - glad you're back... sounds like you had a good trip. Anyway, I've been training some... I never really train too hard-core, but this week I'll go running a few times so I won't be coming in totally cold. I don't want to overdo it either, though... there's no way I could run a 5K two days...

Hey Green - Not only is green a great color, it is also a very nutritious color of food to eat... :) But aynhow, I think you've picked a winner of a system. For me it was really tough the first week... and even now (been doing this over a year) the "Sweets" is still pretty tough. But it gets easier,...

Deb- Well, I'm no Reinhard, but I also have some experience in swapping S-days. I've found for me, there is one (and only one!) way to make it actually work. If I know of a day during the week I want to make an S, but don't want to justify taking a whole other S day for it, (say, a potluck at work o...
