Just to put my fitness results in perspective - my best time now for a 4.5 km run is 21 min 11 sec. Not super, but not bad for a very amateur runner or runs at most twice a week when he can manage it. Pro-American
Just to add a little balance and put things in perspective I would also add that Americans are per-capita the richest people in the world and have just about the cheapest food. Why do you eat so much rich food - because you can! Same as us Australians. Ordinary calories and food are ridiculously che...

Women SG
Hi Dede,
I ain't no woman but I think that workout is great. I have a 10lb sledge and I remember how hard my first workout was with that (as it wasn't too long ago). The routine you have described as a first workout is pretty good in my opinion, man or woman.
Phil.

Anything Goes!
Anything goes on S-days, they are your big carrot to help you make it though the week! You will probably find you don't eat as much as you used too, but even if you do it doesn't matter, they are your safety valve and help you do No-S properly during the week. I always meant to write and thank Reinh...

Good work!!
Hi Annolope, You will probably find that other people will notice you have lost weight before the scale does. Like has been said above, waist measurements loss and looseness of clothes seems to happen faster than actual weight loss with this plan. I think some of it is a bloated look that creeps in ...

Hi Deb
Sorry, missed your message the first time. No cracking of whips for me today, no workouts at all this week! Hideous hacking cough and snot monster have struck me down! I am having enough trouble breathing without exercise at the moment, so I am just hunkering down and waiting for it to blow ...

New movements
Hi Reinhard, Nice to hear from you! I did do the Persian Meel exercise for a few weeks, maybe a month or two before I did "crack the whip", just with one sledge. I think building strength and balance with that helped with doing "crack the whip". Also I'm only using a 10lb hammer at the moment, a 16l...

Feedback
Hi Guys, Have you given these exercises a go? I was just wondering how you found them. I am quite happy that my calves have added some extra tone with the "Pounding corn" exercise. Also, my urban rangering has been enhanced with the calf workout and especially the 3D lunges I am doing (to four point...

Hi Kevin
Kevin, If you want to give the Indian Club workout a try just use the bars out of some dumbells or some steel bars about 18inch long. With all the momentum built up by swinging and the fact that your arms should be completely straight when swung, these can provide significant resistance. Especially ...

Indian Clubs
Hi Keith, I have been doing Indian club exercises with the metal bars from a couple of dumbells. I use "Dick's Indian Club Exercise" - there is a link to this routine in earlier post that refer to Indian clubs. I thought of using hammers as well to get more resistance but a big warning is necessary....

CSIRO diet
"The CSIRO total Well-being diet" is written by Dr Manny Noakes of CSIRO Human nutritions here is a web-site: www.csiro.au/index.asp?type=blank&id=TotalWellbeingDiet_Book. Nietzche
Hi Deb, No I didn't know Reinhard used the same quote on his website, but I feel like a right wanker for quoting it a second time in that case. Yes, some of the stuff Reinhard says is eerily familiar to me sometimes - "Great minds think alike... and fools seldom differ". Reinhard replied to a...

Awesome Project Scuffedboots! A very worthy goal indeed. I have walked a small part of Manhattan as a tourist and can easily believe you will find just about everything in your travels. I also love to think while walking as you mentioned above. I just thought I would share that Nietzche said "The on...

Hi Kevin, I meant to hold the hammer at the extreme end of the handle - I only have a ten pounder at the moment. I have my eye on a sexy fourteen pounder with hickory handle at Bunnings but am minding Rein-Hard's admonition to not progress too quickly at the moment. If you are worried about "catastr...

Humble attempts at improvement
Since we only have 14 minutes to play with, I have been trying to tweak some of the exercises to get as many muscles involved as possible. I have also added some squats and lunges as I don't want my lower body to miss out, but I wanted to do something for my calves as well. Instead of normal butter ...

Knees and Hindu squats
I am doing about 25 a day at the moment and my knees do feel better. I have torn the ACL in both knees and have cartilage damage as well in my left knee (Basketball - what a sport!) so I think it is significant when I say my knees feel better. If I do ordinary weighted squats my knees hate it and I ...

Yeah Freakwitch, What makes No-S so effective is the limitation of easily assimiliable sugar. The body actually signals hunger when your blood sugar takes a steep dive. If you eat snacks that are high in sugar that is easily converted to blood glucose (sucrose in white sugar and softdrinks goes to b...

Tightening up shoulders and chest
Hi Deb, If you are worried about tightening up in the shoulders, chest and arms give the Indian club workout that Reinhard posted before a go (http://ejmas.com/pt/ptart_dick_0101.htm). I just use the bars of two dumbells for the workout, even thoud they are light if you do 5 of each of the swings su...
