Re: Shovelgloving for a road warrior
"convict conditioning" is a great bodyweight program. It's designed to be done in a prison cell, so it will for sure work in a hotel room.

Re: Am I A Failure If I Can Only Follow Two No S Diet Principles?
Let me suggest that you adapt the "no seconds" rule as follows: Wait 15 minutes before you have seconds. I've found that pretty helpful. Generally, hunger passes. It sounds like what you are experiencing is anxiety about being hungry. If you can wait, the hunger will pass, but give yourself permissi...

Thanks for the props, folks! Finallyfull, No, I wasn't on No S the whole time. I lost a bunch with diet and exercise. When I dropped the diet, I gained back fifteen. That's why I'm calling it permanent. Even off diet the bulk of the weight is staying off. Now I'm going to go back on it and get even ...

Weight gone for good
I started at 265 lbs. After a combination of No-S and Shangri La, I got down to 219. (that's me record high and record low.) I got lazy and dropped the diet, and climbed back up to 245. (gained 15) The remaining 20 never came back. It's gone for good. Permanent weight loss. That's over five years. D...

No s lift group
Hey everybody. I just started a Lift group for the NoSDiet. https://www.lift.do/groups/no-s-diet I hope to see you there. Lift is a cool "everyday system" it logs your behavior sort of like habit tracker, but it adds a social component: your log is made public to others and you can give "props. "0

Also Cassie, I'd like to recommend that you add the shangri-la diet to your regimen. I hate calling it a diet, because its not a diet, its a supplement. I find it really works in supresssing between meal hunger I know its been covered on this board before, but I'll sum it up here anyway. All it is t...

Actually, one of the first things I noticed about No-S, was how much it remined me of being on vacation! When on vacation, you eat lots of yummy exotic meals and give up on the snacks, since you don't want to ruin your appetite for the next meal. No S takes that and makes it a permanent lifestyle! E...

"The only small change I am thinking of making at the moment is having 2 oatcakes WHEN and only when I feel very hungry between lunch & dinner." Nonononnonono! Don't do it! When you say "white flour" all I'm hearing is "The No-S diet is too easy and I want to find a way to make it hard so I can fail." White flour is the key ingredient of bread and pasta, two of the staple foods of the american diet. Whole grain bread is admittedly quite tasty, but wholewheat pasta is s...

I've never celebrated Ramadan, but I've read about it. My understanding is that there is a light breakfast before dawn, and then at sunset the fast is broken with dates and lentil soup, and then there is a big meal in the evening. That sounds No-S compatible with me. I understand that there is lots ...

From the NY times: "In the case of the French paradox, it may not be the dietary nutrients that keep the French healthy (lots of saturated fat and alcohol?!) so much as the dietary habits: small portions, no seconds or snacking, communal meals — and the serious pleasure taken in eating. (Worrying ab...

I decided to hold off on weighing myself until I had done the diet for 21 days. The result? I lost EIGHT POUNDS! I wasn't expecting much, because (as recomended) I was eating lots of good food...including meatball subs with potato chips, burgers and fries, all the "bad food". So I would have been ha...

I keep a later schedule than most folks, which results in a weird meal schedule. My normal routine is: Bagel and cream cheese first thing in the morning. Real meal around 11:00 or 1:00 Light pre-workout meal at 4:00 After workout meal at 10:00 PM. So on No-S, I have a problem. I can't give out the p...
