Monday morning, new week, TOM gone, gut flu gone, 61 kg. Fresh start. No more reversing, I got tired of eating soup and salmon for breakfast, and two breakfast's worth of food for dinner.... Back to plain No-S with a protein pick-me-up between lunch and dinner if need be. Oh, bought a bottle of CLA ...

What has helped me is a glass of milk with some protein powder added. Protein is very filling. Just one glass leaves me like I've eaten a good-sized snack, with just around 100 calories.

Hi Rose I think there's much myth in the French women don't get fat and Mediterranean neither, I live in Portugal, our diet is mostly Mediterranean and I've traveled in Spain, France and Italy and there's fat people everywhere. Maybe the proportion isn't so high as in the US but it mustn't be very f...

Long time no check in (1 week) This was a tough week. By RNS 8 or 9 (today is 11) I started feeling tired of the reverse stuff. And I noticed my dinner breakfast was getting bigger and bigger. By Wednesday besides TOM I started with colics, developed diarrhea and last night was so terrible I took 2 ...

Today is my 21 day mark. Already!!!!!!!!!! My weight is the same as at the start, but considering I'm in PMSland, no big wonder. Glad it's not higher. And I had two birthdays in between. Going 5 days without sweets was easier than I thought. Yesterday, 2nd day on upside-down no-s: 8 AM - spagetti, t...

Re: Stubborn peasant body

I also put on weight very easily, which can be frustrating. However, I heard some scientific expert on the radio the other day explaining that to survive, all populations need to include people who can fight (thin) and people who can survive famines (inclined to be fat). Populations which have only...

Thanks for the encouragement, USAFwife!... Good to know the diet worked for someone "real". I'm not doing it per the book (it's a restriction diet anyway, only lean meats, whole grains and lowfat dairies, but I already eat like that often). I'm just reversing the order of the meals. My yesterday's f...

I tend to agree with wosnes and Pam Anderson. Variety makes us eat more, and that was proven by some rat experiment, where food was put in front of two groups of rats. There was no limit as to the quantities they could eat, but one of the groups had more variety to chose from, and these rats grew fa...

Hi My problem is similar to yours. I tried the classic approach "eat less move more", a 1200 cal/day diet, OTC supplements, the shangri-la diet that at least helped me realign my eating habits, and now No-S. As of this morning, I'm officialy on a reverse No-S diet: I eat upside down, not literally o...

This was my second weekend on No-S and I went a little too far! Friday I had a birthday dinner, so I decided it was going to be an S-day. Saturday too and I ate a lot of junk. Sunday, I had planned to be an N-day, but I ended up drinking a couple glasses of wine and eating bread with cottage cheese ...

Eating in waves happens to me whenever I have soup, and I end up eating too much!
For example, I have soup and a sandwich, then I realize I'm still hungry and eat a piece of fruit and a yogurt.
It IS tricky! I must be very careful.

I was baffled about not snacking at first, I had to resort to a glass of milk, which was enough to get me going till dinner time. Honestly, I had thought I'd starve with just a glass of milk mid-afte...

Flora, i totally agree, and I'm only 1 week into this :) Your item 1) reminded me of a fascinating lecture given by Thich Nhat Hanh on mindful eating. The "brush your teeth after eating" tip has helped me a lot! I do it after dinner. I brush and floss impeccably, and I don't eat again because I'm too lazy to do it all again. Thank you Randall!! Tea is a good suggestion, I'm a tea person, actually I used to have tea with my mid-afternoon snack (and a couple toasts with butter, jam, or ham and cheese, then some cookies, then fruit, then nuts - good stuff but too many calories at the end of the day). Early evening snack my big problem

Okay so I want to give No-S a try, since nothing else works for me, but I have this problem, I have lunch at 13:00 and usually get home from work at 18:30, at that time I'm always hungry and eat quite a bit (especially carbs). At 19.30 I start cooking dinner for the family, and sometimes I have some...
